Dr. Martens Store Launch at Wheelock x 15.04.11

Dr. Martens finally opened another store after their flagship store launched in 2009! If you ask me, I prefer the concept of the new store cause the interior is so Old School Cool but it's smaller than the one in OC. Not that I'm complaining.

I've always loved shoes from Dr. Martens but I lack those model-esque mile long legs which doesn't allow me to wear them and look good at the same time. I can't really experiment a lot with DMs but I'm happy with the pair I have right now, it has always been my companion when I'm overseas. I don't know why but I just don't wear them when I'm in Singapore.

Anyhoos, here are some snaps of the launch day.

If you're a leopard preen fan, you'd love these. DM just stocked up their stores with these Youth Range 6-Eye Boots and they are retailing at $149. I'm not so much of a leopard preen fan so you guys have one less competitor!

MFW 2011: Song for the Mute Backstage

This is the last post for MFW 2011.

It has been a great journey and no doubt a tiring one. I finally got a taste of what it is like attending fashion shows everyday plus meeting awesome people at the after parties every other night. Am I ready for more? Bring it on!

Bare Eyes

Totally forgot about my eyeliner on the last day of MFW. Rushed out of my place and when I was looking at my rear view mirror while driving, I saw my eyeliner-less eyes. Panic moment!

Oh well, Yu Ran said that I was very au natural that day. Ha!

MFW 2011: Song for the Mute

The first time Song for the Mute was showcased in Fashion Week.

Curious about the designers' reactions after the show?
Me: So how was it?!
Melvin: I didn't expect backstage to be so crazy and one model wanted to rush out to the runway even before wearing his jacket properly and I had to run after the model but it was a great experience.

Hilarious.

For the collection, the Sydney based designers used mainly wool as the material and presented it in Black, White and Neutrals. There are light pieces, great for layering and awesome for our weather.
