I'm a F3 Style Scout!

Friday, October 29, 2010

I was invited by Jasmine of Vocanic to take part in this competition to be a F3 Style Scout before the TOPSHOP/TOPMAN We Are One Party and since I was already invited to the party and was going to blog about it, why not? Nothing to lose right?

And yeaps, she called me last week to inform me that I was chosen to be one of the five F3 Style Scouts! HAPPY!

If you don't know what the F3 program is about check it out in their website and Facebook page!

The announcement of the Style Scouts on Facebook!

Click on the image for the enlarged version. If you remember, Lenne went to the model fitting session with me and Tarandip is a FOYF reader who just won October Give-Aways for Week Two! How awesome is that.

Anyways, I'll be blogging about the F3 brands (TOPSHOP, TOPMAN, Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridge) on the Style Scout blog soon. I'll post up here and link it to the blog as well, there're going to be tonnes of exciting stuff!

I can't wait for the new TOPSHOP/TOPMAN store to open at Grand Park Orchard in December! 3 freaking storeys! I hope there's going to be more variety. You heard it first from FOYF!

Care for your bags and shoes

Thursday, October 28, 2010

ColorWash invited me to their media launch at Mandarin Gallery last Wednesday and I'm so glad that they did cause I learnt quite a bit that day about caring for and how to maintain our precious bags and shoes.

Before that day, I did notice that there were a couple stores offering bag, leather accessories and shoes cleaning services but I didn't bother to know more about it cause my bags are still relatively new and it just didn't cross my mind that I would want to clean my old and tattered Prada wallet (it's archived in my drawer already). Plus I always had the impression that it's going to cost a lot if I want to clean my stuff cause it seems like a more atas (high class) service right? But boy I was so wrong cause it's seriously not that expensive, well for ColorWash.

They offer cleaning and colouring services. If you're thinking "Huh? What is colouring?", you're not alone! I had no idea what that was as well. Colouring resurrects your leather bags/shoes original colour so that it'll look like it's brand new, you can also request for a change of colour if the stain/discolouration is beyond restoration.

Here's a general price guide.
Cleaning:
Shoes from $15
Wallets from $20
Bags from $40

Colouring:
Shoes from $50
Wallets from $70
Bags from $100

They have other services like water protection and moisturising as well, do check out their website for more details.

Enough talk, lets check out some photos.

I'm bet you can't tell that his Prada shoes are 6 years old, looks spanking new all thanks to ColorWash.

Thanks for taking part in the give-away! The 5 winners are Asmaputri, Peiling, Samantha, Jayxanne and Jolene!

This give-away is only for readers residing in Singapore.

PS: This is not an advertorial, I just wanted to share this with you guys cause I believe that everyone should have awesome looking bags and shoes!

PPS: If you don't have anything you wish to clean, you can always get the voucher for your mum! I'm sure generally all mums have tonnes of vintage bags and shoes, it applies to my mum.

More Items to Lust Over

How can I forget these two items when I was doing the Lust List.

Miu Miu Crepe Turn Lock Belt, £323.40. So cute but so darn expensive.

Miu Miu Paloma Messenger Bag, £910.64 which is near S$1900. They are selling this for S$2900 in stores. MADNESS! I'd rather get it online but they have the very nice Navy one in stores and I can't find that colour anywhere online. I've yet to get my prefect messenger bag (remember when I was contemplating about the Fendi Peekaboo and YSL Muse Two?) so this might be the one.

I love the red but my Givenchy is red too.

Lust List

Thursday, October 21, 2010

Sadly, I didn't receive any of these items as presents for my birthday. They're too expensive anyway.

Saw this ring while I was at YSL getting a couple of items, almost got it but something stopped me. The price was kind of ridiculously high, S$600. Anyway, the sales person told me that the red gem ones (shown below) was sold out immediately (madness). The one that I saw was with green gems, kind of like the one below this photo.

Prada Eyebrown Glasses. These aren't going into production, they're only selling the solid black and solid white ones in stores. Don't mind getting the white ones, S$360.

Acne Hybria Sue. Love at first sight. Ankle boot, check. Suede, check. Awesome wedges, check. Perfect shoe for fall except that they are US$650. FML.

What's on your lust list right now?
